the Basilica of St. Peter

the Basilica has been the center of the Christiandom for centuries and it is often described as the biggest Church in the world. It was built on the place where it is believed the first apostle St. Peter was crucified and buried. This is not only the impressive dimensions of the church (it can hold 60 000 people) that make it really a special place, but also the numberless works of art and secret treasures which it has been keeping for the centuries.
